Creative Covers:  We can’t say enough about our fabulous local ladies who gather once a month to make quilts for children in Danville.   These donated and crafted-with-love quilts are now being carried in Vermillion County Sheriff’s cars, Catholic Charities, Holy Family Day Care, & Center for Children’s Services. Come join these wonderful women with a cause, led by Winnie.   NO CHARGE.

Fat Quarter / Thangles Club:  Join any time, start a new project whenever you’re ready, and enjoy the camaraderie of other seamstresses.  Using Thangles and easy-to-follow patterns, you’ll work at your own pace and choose your own colors, but you’ll always have the guidance of Betty, our instructor if you need any help.   NO CHARGE FOR THIS CLUB!  Just buy your first project pattern and the Thangles and purchase fat quarters as you need them.

Heritage Quilt Continues / Open for Monthly Pillow Tops:
If you love machine embroidery, you’ll fall for this fantastic quilt designed by Jennie Haskins and created by our very own Ila. This class continues for those who have already registered, but it’s open to those who would like to make just one square a month to be used as a pillow top. Each square is unique.   The class is limited to those with embroidery machines that have larger than a 5” x 7” hoop.   (MB4’s, Janome’s 11000 and a few others will work.)  Meets the Saturday BEFORE the 2nd Tuesday which means that dates alternate between the first and second Saturday of the month:   Members are paid through November.  New MONTHLY pillow-top participants pay $10.00 per month + supplies.

Runner’s Club:   Make a stunning table runner every other month.  This group meets once every two months, (or you can come each month if you want,) but you’ll have two months to finish each project. Each runner focuses on different techniques, styles,  and various seasonal themes.  A fun way to learn techniques without building a whole quilt.  Great for your own home or fabulous for gifts.  Excellent for beginners.   One runner in Jan/Feb, Mar/Apr, May/June, July/Aug, Sept/Oct, Nov/Dec. Third Wednesdays, 10:00-12:30.

*This month, our Runner’s Club will meet on April 14th instead of April 21st since Betty will be traveling to the Paducah quilt show.  You’ll be working on the “Rising Star Thangles” table runner this month, and then in May and June, you’ll be creating a really beautiful, artistic, raw-edged appliqué runner with a fabric group called “Harmony.” 

Strips & Scraps Club:  Want to use up your scraps?  Make quick, but beautiful projects  with strips?  The “Strips & Scraps” club is the way to go.   Mary Bird leads this monthly group.  You’ll even get to choose the projects you do at the first organizational meeting.   Come on the 2nd Saturdays of the month, 10:00-12:00  OR the 3rd Tuesdays at either 10:00 or 5:30.  A free class that uses some of your scraps, this class is a great way to spend a day….no required sales pitch, low cost, and you get to make the project with the help of an instructor.  You’ll love it.   Most patterns are suitable for beginners.
